Physiology

Body Description
The revenant were once a sect of elves, but experimental magics had corrupted their form in efforts to prolong life and seek immortality. It is said, they turned from a fair and beautiful race, to a hideous bastardized version of their former selves. However, Yong-sei, the planet to which they were exiled, caused the greatest physical change. Its corrosive environment caused the decay of bodies. While not evolutionary adapted to survive there, they did through the help of their magics. While still living and functioning, their bodies are in a constant state of decay. Limbs decayed nearly beyond use, and exposed organs, entrails and skeletal sections are common. While grotesque to others, many revenant often glorify their derelict bodies as a testament of durability of their people and culture.
