Species Abilities

Relentless You do not need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe
Machine You do not need to take the cyborg perk to take machine perks. You cannot be healed by mundane abilities or items unless they specify it can repair items, hardware, etc (GM’s discretion). You cannot ingest food or potions. Your stamina points are now considered “fuel points”. They function as stamina points but cannot be restored except by electric charge or refueling. You cannot take the psionic adaptation or magery perks. You do not have a soul.
If you wish to use magic or have a soul, you need to acquire the Bound Soul perk. If you wish to use psionics, you need to acquire the Metaphysic Adaptor & Metaphysic Engine. If you wish to ingest potions, you need to acquire the Fuel Tank System perk. These perks are listed in the Cybernetics and Machine Perks page.
Design Package Begin the game with machine perks of your choice equalling 80,000 credits or less.

Species Exclusive Perks

Turbo Mode (Optional passive action: Style; 2 fuel points) Gain a temporary level of haste until the beginning of your next turn. This style does not count towards the maximum number of styles you can use at one time.
Counter-reaction Processor After being targeted with an attack or ability, gain a temporary +1d4 contest bonus to defend against or resist that same attack or ability when used on you again until the end of the encounter. Basic attacks, Power attacks, and quick attacks are treated as the same for the purposes of this ability.
Fuel Efficiency Whenever you perform an action or ability that costs 2 or more fuel or stamina points to use, reduce its cost by 1. This also applies to the fuel/charge expended by items you are using.


Body Description
All Beta-9 bodies are built from a uniform stock frame. Their design packages are added after they have fully synched with the current version of Beta-9 fundamental knowledge and governing consensus software. These design packages include a new paintjob and several hardware or software upgrades to their bodies. generally these upgrades are suited for the occupation they have chosen or is needed, although not necessarily, as this choice is entirely up to the individual Beta-9.
